Balfour is coming to Valentine ISD on October 10th. Balfour as usual will most likely be here sometime in the morning and available to the high school for orders.

Balfour has a long history with Valentine ISD, coming down each year to give the students a chance to order jackets, rings, patches, and graduation items. They also give Valentine students good opportunities such as ordering their jackets and rings a year earlier than most other schools.  READ MORE

Since homecoming is only a few days away, it is officially time for the Pirates to show their pride for the week! The spirit day activities have officially started for the Mighty Pirates this week. On Monday the school shares their pride by wearing pajama's! "It was great, because I didn't have to get dressed this morning, and I did my normal morning routine and then I went back to bed.” says Senior, Jaclyn Garcia.  READ MORE

For the past couple of weeks Ms. Brownfield’s theatre class has been giving a few classes of their own. The class that consists of Elvis Tarango, Jaclyn Garcia, and Tyrell Brooks has been coming up with lessons to teach some of the younger classes. Every week on Wednesdays they help Mrs. Kerley with her Pre-K & Kinder and on Thursdays they take the 3rd and 4th from Mrs. Rangel.  READ MORE

Valentine School's fifth and sixth grade classes have gotten off to a good start for the new school year. They switch classes for Social Studies, with Coach Porras, and PE, with Coach Porras and Coach Flippen, then spend the rest of their school day in Mrs. Baker's room.   READ MORE

The Sophomores in Geometry are currently constructing triangles using postulates and theorems. Given only three of the six parts (3 angles and 3 sides) is enough to draw the specific triangle.

All this was described over 2000 years ago by Euclid of Alexandria in Greece. His Book of Elements was written about 2300 years ago.  READ MORE

Along with Jaclyn Garcia, Senior, there is also Elvis Tarango. He has been attending Valentine High School alongside his fellow classmate since he was in Pre-K, and has been here to see the changes of Valentine ISD school.

For college Elvis has said that he is planning to attend Texas State University in San Marcos because they have plenty of physical training majors that they offer there. Also he says he really likes that area so he would have fun there while getting an education. "Right now it's up in the air, after sports are done with I will be sure.” says Mr. Tarango.  READ MORE
