The one lone Junior High Valentine Pirate, 7th grader, Jordan Miller, participated in the Alpine Buck Junior High Invitational Track Meet on March 22nd. Jordan competed in both the shot put and discus throwing competitions.  READ MORE

There is an old sports adage that says, "No one runs around shouting that we're number two." The "Magnificent Seven" - the seven junior high Valentine Lady Pirates - that's 100% of the junior high girls in the smallest school in Texas - aren't ashamed to boast about being the runner up track team out of District 9A for 2017.   READ MORE

The Valentine Junior High Pirates, along with the 6th graders, travelled to Study Butte, the home of Big Bend ISD, on Thursday, March 23 to help the Big Bend Piasanos with the grand opening of their new track. Big Bend ISD is one of a handful of Class A schools west of the Pecos River to have their own track facility. There was a large crowd of locals that came out on a very hot and very windy day for the historic event. A small group of athletes also participated from Marathon.  READ MORE
