Our very own Jaclyn Garcia has advanced to the National History Fair competition in College Park, Maryland!!

On March 2nd, Jaci participated in the Big Bend Regional History Fair, at Sul Ross State University. She won first place in the Individual Senior Website division.  READ MORE

Valentine Senior, Jaci Garcia, travelled to Austin for the state UIL meet this past Friday, April 21st. Jaci was an alternate in Current Issues and Events and in order to have an opportunity to compete, she had to be there. As luck would have it, the top three regional competitors did make the trip, and as a result Jaci did not get to compete.  READ MORE

Valentine High School will be represented at the regional track meet in San Angelo on April 28th and 29th by a pair of athletes that qualified at the District 9A track meet held in Van Horn on April 12th.  READ MORE

There is an old sports adage that says, "No one runs around shouting that we're number two." The "Magnificent Seven" - the seven junior high Valentine Lady Pirates - that's 100% of the junior high girls in the smallest school in Texas - aren't ashamed to boast about being the runner up track team out of District 9A for 2017.   READ MORE

Valentine Senior golfer, Jaci Garcia competed in her last district golf tournament on Wednesday, April 5th on a very cold and blustery day at the Marfa golf course which is the highest golf course in the state. Jaci shot a 122 on the day which qualified her to the regional meet in San Angelo on April 24 and 25 as a medalist from District 9A. Jaci was the first alternate to the regional tournament as a junior.  READ MORE

Beginning April 4th Valentine students will join students across the state of Texas in reading The Lemonade War by Jacqueline Davies.

For the third year, TEXAS READS is promoting literacy by sponsoring the Texas Reads One Book program.   READ MORE

The Garcia sisters, Jaci and Jessie, continue to prepare for the District 9A golf tournament. This past Monday, March 27, the girls participated in the Marfa Shorthorn Invitational Tournament in Marfa and played on the highest golf course in the state. Both were playing as medalists and Jaci shot a 117 to win first place. Jessie shot a 127 and claimed the bronze medal for her efforts. She was four strokes out of second place which was won by a young lady from Marfa.  READ MORE
